Care Partner

Part-time 65 hours per fortnight (Night Shift) - Busselton

Seeking applicants available during night shift hours (10pm-7am), with flexibility for additional afternoon shifts across multiple days.

Baptistcare operates 14 residential care facilities in the Perth metro area and regional WA. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders within the facility
  • Being responsible for the provision of person-centred, individual care to residents that is in line with the Vision, Mission and Values of Baptistcare, keeping clients’ needs at the centre of our service delivery
  • Promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents, by partnering with residents to be involved in the meaningful activities of their life (such as eating, personal hygiene tasks, moving around, household tasks and leisure activitiesa
  • Coordinating with other staff to achieve these outcomes and liaise directly with nursing staff regarding any specific health concerns

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Possession of, or be working towards, Certificate III in Individual Support (previously known as Certificate III in Aged Care) or Home and Community Care (or equivalent)
  • Ability to engage residents though a person-centered approach to care and support
  • Works well and contributes effectively within a team environment
  • Able to communicate well and build relationships with people from many walks of life including those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds
  • Ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to complete busy workload and respond to changing priorities
